Procter & Gamble Technical Centres Ltd

Procter & Gamble was founded in 1837 by William Procter, a candle maker from England, and James Gamble, a soap maker from Ireland. These two Europeans, who emigrated to Cincinnati created what is now one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer goods, marketing nearly 300 brands in more than 160 countries around the world. Western Europe is a vital part of our business, accounting for close to a quarter of our worldwide sales. Our roots in Europe are just as long. Thomas Hedley, P&G’s first acquisition in Europe was also founded in 1837! Since this first step in the U.K. in 1930, we now have local presence in every European country, including five research centers.
