The objective of this charitable trust is to administer funds annually to support various charitable causes where a small donation will provide help and assistance to the disadvantaged, particularly in the context of relieving need, and can be seen to make a real difference. As much as possible the charities should be nationwide in their application, apart from those connected with the City of London.

As a general policy, the Trustees will give priority consideration for support to charities where members of the Livery and Freedom are personally involved.

All supported charities are regularly reviewed and visited by the Charities Development Manager, members of the Charity Committee and other interested parties within the Company. Charitable areas supported by The Charitable Foundation include the armed forces, children and youth, education, Christian aid, environment, medical & disability, homeless, and the City.
