As
we bid a fond farewell to the 2008 Salters' Chemistry
Camps work has already begun to organise the Camps
of 2009!
A
big thank you to all the students who participated and everyone
who contributed to making this year's Camps such special occasions!
Information for the 2009 Salters Chemistry Camps
will be sent out to schools in November with application forms
available to download on the website from Monday 24

2008
saw another record year for the Salters' Chemistry
Camps with seventeen Camps hosted
by Universities across the UK. Two new Camps were held
at The University of Cambridge, an addition
to the existing back-to-back Camps at Bath, Bristol, Imperial,
Nottingham and Sussex.
Following
the continuing success of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry
focused Salters' Chemistry Camps in 2007, GlaxoSmithKline
continued their funding towards the same eight Camps in 2008,
at The University of Bath, The University of Bristol, The
University of Nottingham and The University of Sussex.
The Royal Society
of Chemistry's Aimhigher project, Chemistry: The
Next Generation (C:TNG) have
again agreed to support two back-to-back Camps at Imperial
College, London. As in previous years, the Camp will
be attended by 25 students from Aimhigher schools in the London
area and 25 students from other schools from London and other
areas of the UK.
