Calling All Chemistry Teachers!
Would you like the opportunity to:
- Work with highly motivated pupils interested in chemistry in an out-of-school environment?
- Spend time in university labs again?
- Share and learn new ideas from like-minded teachers to feed back into your school?
- Promote 'fun' and 'exciting' chemistry?
- Work with students on practical activities that are outside the school curriculum?
- Develop your career and much more....?
Now is your
chance........
We are looking for more teachers to help run
Salters' Chemistry Camps for 2010
and future years. A University Host, a Lead Teacher and a
team of five Teacher Mentors are assigned to each Camp. Teachers
should ideally have a minimum of two years experience of teaching
chemistry.
Fifty students (Year 10 or equivalent) are selected for each
of the residential Camps held at universities around the UK
in June, July and August. Each programme includes hands-on
practical work in the university labs, fun lectures, interesting
site visits as well as a variety of social activities in the
evenings.
