Calling All Chemistry Teachers!

Would you like the opportunity to:

  • Work with highly motivated pupils interested in chemistry in an out-of-school environment?
  • Spend time in university labs again?
  • Share and learn new ideas from like-minded teachers to feed back into your school?
  • Promote 'fun' and 'exciting' chemistry?
  • Work with students on practical activities that are outside the school curriculum?
  • Develop your career and much more…..?

Now is your chance…..
We are looking for more teachers to help run Salters' Chemistry Camps for 2008 and future years. A University Host, a Lead Teacher and a team of five Teacher Mentors are assigned to each Camp. Teachers should ideally have a minimum of two years experience of teaching chemistry.

Fifty students (Year 10 or equivalent) are selected for each of the residential Camps (options of 4-day or 3-day Camps), held at universities around the UK in June, July and August. Each programme includes hands-on practical work in the university labs, fun lectures, interesting site visits as well as a variety of social activities in the evenings.
