Our NEW Website goes LIVE
on 3 January 2012
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website in 2013! The new format will be much more interactive and user-friendly. Entries for the Salters’ Festivals of Chemistry, applications for the Salters’ Chemistry Camps, nominations for the Salters’ National Awards for Science Technicians and applications for Salters’ Book Grants will now open on THURSDAY 3 JANUARY 2013.
The launch will take place at the 2013 ASE Conference in Reading, so please come and visit our stand (C59) where we will be pleased to provide information and you will also be able to enter or apply for activities online.
Salters' Festivals of Chemistry 2013
The Salters’ Institute, in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry, will be holding the Salters’ Festivals of Chemistry between March and July 2013. These are one-day events held at various Universities throughout the UK and Ireland.
Competing schools are represented by a team of four students from years 7 or 8
(or equivalent in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland). Participants will enjoy two hands-on practical challenges in University laboratories, impressive chemical demonstrations and a prize giving ceremony.
No prior preparation is required.
All students taking part will receive fun prizes and participation certificates. Prizes will also be awarded to the winning schools.
