Salters' City and Guilds Prizes
About The Prize
City & Guilds is the leading assessment and awarding body in the United Kingdom and offers work-related qualifications across all areas of industry and commerce. City & Guilds was founded in 1878 by the Corporation of London and some of the Livery Companies of the City of London and is an independent, non profit-making organisation operating under Royal Charter. Drawing on established links with industry and commerce, City & Guilds works closely with employers and professional organisations to develop the skills and knowledge essential for growth. Visit the City & Guilds website at www.city-and-guilds.co.uk.
The Process Plant Operation Scheme is intended for trainees or adults already working as Process Operators and is well supported by industry including multi-national companies who operate overseas. It provides the broad underpinning knowledge required for candidates in the processing industry. The Salters' Institute allocates prizes totalling £1,000 to top students at each level of the Chemical Process Scheme.
