Would you like to work for the Salters' Institute?
CAMPS ADMINISTRATOR
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced administrator to join our busy team. The Institute, in partnership with Universities and other organisations, throughout the UK, runs annual residential Salters' Chemistry Camps for 15 year olds.
The successful applicant will be used to working on his/her own initiative as a member of a team. He/she will have excellent ICT skills including word-processing, spreadsheets and database management (knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word 2003 and a windows-based database would be an advantage). Although office-based, the post will involve travel and overnight stays outside London. All new staff are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check.

Salters' Festivals of Chemistry 2010
The 2010 Salters' Festivals of Chemistry in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry have now come to an end. Hundreds of schools participated at a total of 49 Festivals which took place at Universities throughout the UK and Ireland. Thank you to all participants and staff who made 2010 such a successful year.
Ready for 2011!
You are able to enter a team for the 2011 Salters' Festivals of Chemistry online from Monday 22 November 2010. Spaces are filled very quickly so you are advised to enter as soon as possible to guarantee a team at the Festival of your choice.

Institute Annual Awards Ceremony 2009
The Salters' Institute Annual Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday 19 November 2009 at Salters' Hall. The current Master of the Salters' Company, Mr Richard Callingham presented certificates to Winners of the Salters' Graduate Prizes; Salters National Awards for Science Technicians; Salters-Nuffield Advanced Biology Prizes; Salters Advanced Chemistry Prizes; Salters Horners Advanced Physics Prizes and City & Guilds Prizes. Over 150 guests attended the event enjoying the Prizegiving Ceremony and a buffet style luncheon.
Calling All Chemistry Teachers!
We are looking for more teachers to help run the Salters' Chemistry Camps to be held in the summer of 2011 and in future years. A University Host, a Lead Teacher and a team of 5 Teachers Mentors are assigned to each camp.
